I am a conservative Democrat that respects individuals of any race, and above all respects my leaders. I listen to your program enough that I know that if Rush Lumbarg would call Obama a fool that you would readily call a team to boycott him or call in to his show. Reverend Sharpton,

I cannot believe that you and Donna Brazile appeared on CNN during the D. L. Hughley Breaks the News Show, which should be titled "D. L. Hughley Broke the News" or that you have not come out or spoken against the vulgar comedy that is shown on this show. If this had been a Black Comedian saying these things on CNN, you and Michael Baisden would have been all over them like you were with Don Imus. For example, all the terms of bitches, whores, and pimps that were mentioned. Is this all that Blacks can be seen as on National TV.

I am also a African American and did not appreciate how Hughley is being used as a PAWN on CNN. Perhaps this is what CNN and Jon Klein of CNN wants African Americans to be viewed as. I have sent the statement below to every site on CNN that allows comments . Hopefully, someone will correct this degrading show:

I have always felt that CNN was the best of the best when it came to the news, but just recently you have led me to think otherwise, Since you aired the show titled "D. L. Hughley Breaks the News" I am convinced that you are not the most trusted name in news because not only did Hughley break the news, but he broke the barrier and took it too far by using the terms of bitches , whores and pimps. This seems to be like the choice that McCain made with the woman who can see Russia from Alaska!!!!!!!

CNN should stick to the news and stop trying to compete with Saturday Night Live...it is not working. That show is disgusting, not funny, and as an African American it is very offensive to me. This is not the best way to capture an audience by using Hughley to represent other Blacks in America. Why didn't you just find some old Amos & Andy Shows to air during the election or at prime time? That could not have been any more of an insult to Blacks than the Hughley show.

BTW, by watching Hughley's awful show, I saw the young man (Don Lemon) that I thought was no longer with CNN because I have not seen him on during the day and nothing has been said about where he has been moved.... wonder what that is about? Why has he been moved? Did you move him there on the weekend when everyone is asleep or has turned off the TV to prepare for work the next day for some reason? He is very good and does come across as very professional and a real Journalist. He should air before that trashy show with Hughley. You now have boring Rick Sanchez and snooty, giggling, and fake Kyra Phillips with the long and uninformative interviews on in that spot. What a joke!!!!

If you can allow Campbell Brown on with that lisp, Wolf Blitzer that cannot complete a sentence, Anderson Cooper with his stumbling speech and fake puzzled frowns, and Larry King that needs to be taken to the Old Folks Home on with prime time shows, certainly you could allow this young and educated Black Journalist (Don Lemon) on the air with his own show. Perhaps Joe the Plumber will have his own show on CNN soon.

I wonder if the Managers, Executives, and CEO's watch the D. L. Hughley show and find it funny or choose what should air and when/where someone should be placed in a lineup on the shows that air, perhaps they should be replaced or removed from their positions. Perhaps, they are on a slow boat to China.

There are so many topics that you talk about that I could go into. I really love your show, but we no longer receive it here in Detroit, MI. Why is that? I listened to you everyday on the way to work and on my break and I know of others who did the same. Your show, along with others, on News Talk 1200 WCHB helped to keep us informed about things going on around the country that affect us, as Africans in America. The live feed is great on the Internet. Only problem is that I, as well as other people I know can't really hear it. You almost have to hold the speaker in your hand just to hear what's going on. I don't think it's my computer because other radio feeds come in loud and clear. If there is a remedy to this, lease post it on your site. Anyway, keep doing what you're doing. God bless you and continue to be a truth fighter and I'll keep listening between classes and work.

I truly believe if Senator Obama does not select Hillary to be on the ticket with him as his VP, he will lose. I think it was a setup from the beginning to vote for Senator Obama just to make sure Hillary don't win. They knew she could probably beat McCain in November 2008.

I was wondering if you could possibly do a show regarding the stimulus package. I am a small business owner who received my $600.00. Today I
received a notice from the IRS stating that I own $750.00 for tax year 2006 for filing late. I was never late.
Could you please see if the American people is being scammed again by the federal government. I think that they are searching back records to find erroneous errors to make up for sending out those checks.

Dear Warren: I listen to your show all the time. On July 15, 2008, Primary day for the local elections in Georgia. You endorsed Vernon Jones saying that you had met him or had some kind of interaction and that you thought he was a good choice.

Well Vernon Jones has a record of voting 2 times for Mr. Bush in 2000 because the democrats didn't come to GA and again in 2004 because he said that "you don't change presidents in the middle of a war. He calls himself a conservative democrat, that to me is just code word for nearly republican.

He also put out a flyer before the election w/himself and Barack as if they had the same views and policy ideas. The Obama campaign came out immediately saying that they were not endorsing any local candidates, he still handed out these flyers at an Obama event a few weeks ago in Powder Springs, GA. He also came on TV after the Obama campaign made they're comment and said that he endorsed Barack as if the endorsement was needed.

I like so many in GA listen to your show and value your ideas and opinions, but it just didn't seem to me like this is someone that you would stand behind, next to or even around the corner. He made it into a run off with Jim Martin who I am not that crazy about, but is the lesser of the 2 evils, meaning at least he didn't vote for Bush.

I listened to your show today on 102.5 in Atlanta and wanted to bring some things to your attention. 1. John McCain is no hero, has no experience in foreign policy, is no maverick, and we do not know him either.
2. Obama has experience, we know of him, he is not naive, and the pic on New Yorker should have been an opportunity for the nation to talk about prejudice against Obama and wife and expose the right-wing talk radio folks that put the rumour out there to begin with.

Look let's face it, the same folks that made Al Gore loose to Bush because he was so robatic and Bush was someone you could drink a beer with, are the same ones saying that we know McCain and not Obama. Because McCain has been in the senate for rock of ages does not mean we know him. We know of him, he has name recognition because he tried and failed against Bush. His record shows that he is totally opposite what he used to be, because that is the only way he could win the nomination. He has no experience in foreign policy, just as Bush didn't when he took over. Look at where the experience of Rumsfelt and Chiney got us. In il-conceived and executed war.

Obama's experience in the state senate speaks for itself. We know of him from his record in Illinois and what he has done in the senate thus far. If he were naive he wouldn't have put together a campaign that beat Hilary Clinton. The man is more intelligent by far then Bush and McCain. His reasoning is far superior and his judgement is on point.
Now let's shift the debate and find out who started the rumour about him being a muslim and his wife being a militant. Let's talk about the fact that they are trying to scare away white folks especially the ignorant, racist, rednecks. They are even trying to scare the young educated ones. The message is that McCain is more like you and Obama is more like Jeremiah Wright, the black panthers etc.

Warren first of all I hate that Detroit was abruptly denied radio access to your show. After all Detroit offered major participation. This to me and other fellow Detroiters my friend, is considered suspect.

Warren stop fueling controversy with the Rev. Jackson thing. You are beating it to death for ratings. Ralph Nader said almost the same thing. Although I disagree with the statements that Rev. Jackson made, I happened to understand what Rev Jackson was saying excluding the inappropriate words.

You know there was a time in our history when most black people did what was expected in terms of family. They were loyal to their jobs and community and what did they get for it... lynchings and policies that worked against them i.e. the welfare system that required the father not be in the home in order for the family to receive assistance.

As a result, you are now seeing frustration, silent rage and feelings of learned helplessness. We are human it is psychological. Can't we see this? Our lack of compassion and understanding for ourselves and all that we've come through is overwhelming to me. Now don't get it twisted, I believe in personal responsibility but people must emphasize the origin of the initial problem before we totally blame ourselves for our lack of achievement and motivation.

I truly believe that more black people will gain the motivation once they realize all the forces that are against them and that it is not because of something that is innately wrong with them personally. We should be motivating each other to rise above and not blame each other without emphasizing where the problem originated.

I find that people like Bill Cosby are guilty of that by scolding black people on a regular basis because of course, its easier to blame your own in front of an audience then to criticize this country's injustices against your own in front of an audience of main streamers.

Now that... my friend, is what steams me! We are a strong and resilient people. There is no other race of people that could have withstood such abuse. Lets motivate each other with love and respect while we also hold this country accountable for it's unfair practices perpetrated against our people.
